Asha Gipson, Ph.D.

Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Asha Gipson works with founders and senior leaders to bring rigor and discipline to high-stakes decisions.

She serves as a Practice Leader at the Center for Executive Performance, advising private equity-backed firms on executive assessment, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness, and is the co-founder of Blaxtar Essentials. Her work focuses on helping leadership teams navigate complexity, align around what matters, and move forward with intention.

Asha works closely with leadership teams in moments where decisions carry real consequence. The focus is not only on what to do, but on understanding what is actually driving the situation so that decisions can be made and carried forward with consistency. Her approach reflects a core belief: leadership challenges are rarely isolated. They are often the result of underlying dynamics that have not yet been fully surfaced or understood.

Outside of her work, she is a wife and mother of two who enjoys making homemade pickles, is an avid Formula 1 fan, and is a longtime Harry Potter enthusiast. She holds a Ph.D. in Social-Organizational Psychology from Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Pomona College.
